uunchai review/uunchai box office/uunchai

The movie Uunchai is based on the story of four old friends Amit Srivastava (Amitabh Bachchan), Om Sharma (Anupam Kher), Javed Siddiqui (Boman Irani), and Bhupen (Danny Denzongpa). The friendship between these four friends is enticing. All four are happily living their lives. When Bhupen dies of a heart attack then the story of the movie takes a new turn.

After Bhupen's death, the other three friends decide to climb the base camp of Mount Everest to fulfill their fourth friend's wish. Bhupen once expressed his desire to go to Everest base camp with three friends to relive his childhood. Leaving the comfortable life of Delhi, the three friends gather to go to base camp and embark on a grueling journey in the cold. The trio sets out to bury Bhupen's remains at Everest Base Camp where his soul resides. Indian Hindu tradition involves burying the ashes of the deceased in a sacred place according to his wishes. The best friends are trying for this task but due to their age, the journey does not look easy. A lot of difficulties is created in the journey.

Shraddha Gupta (Parineeti Chopra) takes it upon herself to guide them on the journey to the base camp and at the same time, Shraddha forbids the trio from going on the trek due to her old age. They also reach the base camp to collect the remains of their departed friends. Director Suraj Badjatya presented this in an interesting way in the movie. The movie tries to show the story of true friendship.

Director Badjatya has tried to explore the dilemmas of old age through the medium of cinematography. Throughout the movie, he has tried to tell anyone not to age at will. The basic mantra of the story is 'Life is one, live it to the fullest.
