Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that he will send the Federal Education Act to Parliament next Tuesday.
At a program held by the Samajwadi Vidyarthi Morcha in Kathmandu on Sunday, he said that he will pass this law to the Parliament after passing it from the Parsi Council of Ministers. He further said that it has the power to address many issues seen in the education sector.
He said that the chairman of the University Service Commission, which has been vacant for a long time, will also be appointed by the end of this week.
Prime Minister Prachanda said that the report of the Higher Education Commission is being sought. He said that it was prepared when the then CPN-led government was in place and the majority members of the party were ready to publicize and implement it, but the then prime minister was not ready.
Prachanda continued, 'He kept it under the pillow. Now it has disappeared. He claims that he has been constantly searching for it since he became the Prime Minister, but he has not found it.
