Prime Minister Dahal's last visit to India focused only on power interests

 

Chairman of the main opposition party CPN (UML) and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli commented that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's visit to India was only focused on power interests.

President Oli claimed that during Prime Minister Dahal's visit to India, national interest was not the main priority, but the power interest was the main priority.

At the seminar organized by the Party's Foreign Affairs Department on Saturday in Kathmandu on 'Current International Situation and CPN (UML)'s Views on Nepal's Foreign Policy', he claimed that Prime Minister Dahal showed many weaknesses during his visit to India in matters of Nepali needs, Nepali interests, Nepal's just side.

President Oli also expressed anger that Prime Minister Dahal could not talk to the Indian side about the EPG report and Nepal's land.

He also maintained that he is always ready to decide the foreign policy keeping the national interest as the top priority and will continue to do so. Oli said that he will not stand with his party on foreign relations which the government has carried out arbitrarily and absurdly.

 Oli said that since India and China are two friendly countries, mutual problems can be resolved only by having open discussions with them. He also reiterated that such kind of government and would have no meaning if they could not keep their just demands with their neighbors.
