UML whip said - the agreement made with India was treason....

CPN-UML has accused the Indian Embassy of treason against the agreement made to allow the Indian embassy to directly spend up to 200 million rupees on projects in Nepal. Speaking at the meeting of the Law Committee, UML's whip Mahesh Bertaula demanded to inform the House about the agreement made by the government.

He questioned the Prime Minister and said, "Is the current agreement according to Article 5 of the Constitution of Nepal?" Has this agreement been made to protect Nepal's independence, sovereignty, and national independence? Can you say this? You are proud of this contract.

He said, "The government needs the permission of the Parliament to spend even one rupee within the four forts of Nepal." Cannot spend unless authorized by Parliament. However, a country cannot plan as it wants. Can't accept that. It is a national treason.
