A case has been registered in Rupandehi District Court against 28 people for defrauding common people's savings worth 860 million Nepali rupees from Supim Cooperative in Butwal. In this case, Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane, who is on the list of illegal borrowers, is being criticized for not making him a defendant.
The police investigation has shown the fact that Lamichhane was the director of Gorkha Media Network, the company that operates Galaxy TV, and Cooperative made him a debtor and withdrew 20 million rupees. This detail is also mentioned in the case (indictment) filed in the district court.
